Hemphill (Manvel) left the game with concussion symptoms right before half and didn't return.  Staff took his helmet away.  He was actually playing as well as I had seen him play as he was blocking down field and catching short passes as well as a deep route, which led to Manvel's first score.  Manvel couldn't have played worse in the first quarter and really outplayed Katy in the 2nd and 3rd quarters before Tiger mistakes kept Manvel in the game in the 4th quarter.

Porter could certainly play at Texas as his last TD he really showed suprising speed, but LB Paddy Fisher is just so much fun to watch as he completely shut down Manvel QB King from running the ball and is very good in coverage.  Manvel had the athletes to beat Katy, but the Tigers just executed at a much higher level IMO.

Almost the same story last year. Manvel had the athletes, but Katy just executed like a well oiled machine. Put an athletic LB to spy on QB and it really shut down his ability to improvise. And Katy offense just flat out executed
