@ausburntorange I do not know what Tex fans would consider a home run hire. As I mentioned I stay away from what other media speculate.

I don't know that it could be Morris if he is qualifying his previous prediction with the above tweet.

Thoughts?

Better get the bacon and string out. This definitely sounds like some "crawfishing"!!!

I'm gonna go with the "let's wait and see" approach. Not as fun, I guess, but far less chaotic and being pulled like a yo-yo by whoever's latest tweet, which we have no idea the validity on

Higdon should know and understand what a Home run hire would be for the TEXAS LONGHORN FANS. My goodness by golly.

yep sounds like hes calling it a triple and not a homerun now lol im still thinking its joker or shannahan or mayb both

If Riley was coordinating the passing game and Wickline was handling the running game, I would be one gruntled Longhorn. That would be a homer for me.

I'm a little confused as to how you go from stating that the "OC hire will be a home run" and how fired we'll be to not knowing what Texas fans would consider a home run hire. I like the guy, and I like what he writes, but that scares me just a little.

If you can't envision people standing and cheering it ain't a home run.

I'm prepared for a balk at this point.

I think it is because we are a large fan base and there will always be a few that are unhappy. Also, he may think Watson is a home run hire. Who knows what it means. Maybe he is just trying to generate more interest in his tweeter.

Maybe he is just trying to generate more interest in his tweeter.
Absolutely.

But if he doesn't know anything he's going to learn real quickly that twitter fame can be short lived.

I don't think the guy is hedging at all. I exchanged posts with him several times today and he's not backed off that I saw

In fact he said to relax and basically that people will be pleased soon

He's not a Texas guy and he's not on message boards like ob or IT. He told me he doesn't know what's being talked about on them and even asked me names Texas "fans" there are mentioning

I take it as the OC is one he feels as a coach would be a home run hire. He's not going to confirm its a name we are talking about as Texas fans but whoever it is he thinks it's big time

I think it's like an opposite deal honestly. We consider Lincoln Riley to be pretty close to a HR but even UNC fans don't.

I think he's saying this universally considered a HR. There's a LOT of smoke around Morris right now too.
