Is this his last year?

I know he was given a medical redshirt in 2012, but not sure about 2013.

If we could get Hicks, ESPY, and Tank back that would be pretty significant. Not to mention that Evans looks like he will be redshirting, and the possibility that Harrison could be redshirting.

I think I read Y6 is possible.

That's what a couple people have been saying on several forums. I always thought this was his last year. That would be pretty significant to get him back next year. I don't know what his draft stock would be, but I don't think it would be all that high.

I have a fleeting memory that he addressed this once this year but I cannot recall the context, sorry.

I just want him to get through this year healthy and playing at a high level. I'll worry about the rest after the season.

Max Olson apparently said that Hicks can most likely get another year. My guess is NFL teams view Hicks in a similar manner as Jeffcoat. A good player, but one that's injury prone. I think there's a good chance he comes back next year.

Why not begin work on a master's degree from UT while on scholarship if you're not a top NFL prospect?  Be a good move for Hicks.  Love to have him another year.  Espinosa, too.
