Hermann needs to go

I will. But I'll never believe UT hired a man for that kind of money just to do one thing that took him probably five minutes to type up.
maybe.

and this is just my opinion but Powers doing what he did pissed off a lot of influential people and not just the Saban BMDs; so much so, that when Powers came under fire in 2014 & 2015 he had very little support in the BOR and BMDs, and ultimately forced to resign over something that happens at virtually every large institution (acceptance favoritism).

Agree. Powers was a dead man walking. He ticked off everybody.

Well chit.

TFB posted an update. Source says UM is not looking for a coaching job. Says this is not just a play for more money.

SuperK says he has another source on the UM side to contact. Will report that later.

I will say this, TFB has been less than pro-Urban for the entire time, though I think they've posted what they know. This may be one case where some OU influence is found in their coverage. Not sure.

IT has been much stronger about Urban to Texas. @MBHORNSFAN Mike needs to fill us in with what they're saying over there.

So if Urban Meyer were a no-go, where would Texas go if Herman were to be escorted out? The candidates are less than plentiful. Luke Fickell? Matt Campbell? Hugh Freeze? A coordinator? I want Herman gone, but if it's not Urban, then who?

Well, just popped in on Chance Mock. He says UM is more likely than we think. So typically, info is such a mixed bag its hard to know what to believe.

And then there's this:

"On the pregame show on Saturday morning, it appears Meyer teased the fan base about the whole scenario. In a discussion about the best college towns, Matt Leinart brought up Austin, Texas. Brady Quinn then asked Meyer if that was the next town he was going to fix. Meaning the football team that plays in Austin, the Texas Longhorns. Meyer simply stated, “I don’t know yet.”

Hugh Freeze. I know he has baggage but he is a good coach with a decent resume.

He is the number one target. Everyone who has power is on one accord. In fact he is the only target. There is no back up plan. Urban wants to coach again.  There are no obstacles at Texas.
