Hermann needs to go

a lot of you here are going to be butthurt when Urban Meyer ends up taking the USC job, Clay Helton got lucky on Sat but he won't run the gauntlet in the Pac 10 and USC is gonna back up the truck and come after UM

I believe he would pick UT if both jobs are offered.

So how safe is Helton leading USC? Unless the Trojans lose the rest of their games and are a total tire fire, he will absolutely survive the condensed 2020 season. As for 2021, that is a different story. It may be hard for USC to eat close to $10 million, but it would be at least in the price range where USC would consider. Four bad years from 2018 to 2021 might be enough to get whacked.

For one calendar year, Helton is impervious to any hot seat rumors because of his buyout.

The problem we had with Saban was Mack Brown. He would not go quietly into the night. lol

The problem we could have with Herman is that he wins out. You can't fire a coach when he's winning the conference.

And that is what has the Urban deal in a stall for the time being.

What Sk on TFB said today was that BMD's want to fire the guy regardless of season outcome. If Texas beats Iowa State, then a firing is unlikely this season. If Herman wins out, a change will wait another year.

Yep, you can't fire the Big 12 Conference champ.

The optics on that are terrible. Maybe TFH and the team will pull it out of their asses.  I can't root against them to hire UM with his baggage. Even if he is a much better coach.

TH wont win the B12. Texas already lost to ou again and lowly tcu...this has been the same scenario every year since he was hired. Winners win...losers lose!!! Time to move on ....go get a coach that knows how to coach UM !!!!

Dude, most everybody here would rather have UM. But, we're in the Big 12 Championship if we win out at 8-2. Right?

A few of us doubt the UT administration pulls the trigger on TFH if we win it. I doubt we fire him if we play in it. Just a guess.

I think IST or KST will beat us. Thats just how it is under TH. The offense has been getting worse every week. This string of wins led by the defense cant last. Guess we will soon find out.

That's true, however I believe the offense can get back on track if Sam can heal up and if the offensive line can give Bijan enough help to dominate. We still have the possibility of balanced offense

Yea, but you don't even have a chance to win the damn cap when you don't pick the winner right to begin with. Someone we all know is 2-5 and on a 5 game losing streak, cough, cough, cough.

Are you talking about the Tech game we almost lost?

I guess with TH, you just don't know which team will show up or how lucky we'll get.

This team is in no way prepared to play the way at UT team should be. We lead the damned nation in Captain Bonehead penalties.
