I think 5 years would be the contract with outs for "health" but I bet we could get a solid 4 from him.  More than enough to truly establish a winning culture while "grooming" his replacement.  Sorta like the transition at OSU from Urban to Day.  But I'm still for bringing Applewhite back so what do I know? I think that Chris Ash is the best thing that could've happened to Tom Herman, without the work that ash has done this year we are probably a two win team right now. I get it, a win is a win, winning is difficult I used to pray for times like these when Charlie was here, but I just don't see texas on the trajectory of really competing. My main pull with Urban is his ability to dominate his rivals, we have only beaten OU 3 times since '09...... THREE TIMES. so every year that needs to be our first goal, if we can get like them then we'd be back on the national stage as they are. one thing that would worry me about urban is that he is very very similar to Herman in his offensive ideology so wed basically be doing the same thing. his attention to detail however is unrivaled.

Not if you love Texas football...   He is a fraud... Recruits know it and are rejecting him.    NO elite kids want to come here. They're re done with him...

Season ticket holders are non renewing at a huge rate. More will do the same if he is back.. BMD will not donate to finish south end zone..  He has no allies no the 40 acres.

Well, one of the things I have always said you need to hope for is that Urban doesn't play games with you. Which he is entirely capable of doing. Whoever is talking to him better be able to "read the room" very, very well.
