Hermann needs to go

CDC cost us some money last Saturday. After the game Herman was running off the field, prior to the Eyes of Texas being played, and CDC stopped him and said “your contract stipulates you will be on the field during the playing of the song”. He should have let him go to the locker room and break the contract. Of course in the presser Herman says he and other coaches were out there with Sam. I can’t stand that freaking weasel.

I've watched Mark Dantonio from afar for awhile and thought he would do a heck of a job if given a place that had talent, hes done pretty good at a college that seems like it just cant get the talent in there. I know he had an issue come up that he resigned over but would CDC even consider him? or any one else on here? He also has texas ties i believe so i dont think he would ever leave. I don't know any details about why he resigned so could be a moot point.

also, have a question to pose to the group........Art Briles....how long before hes given another shot on the collegiate level? At some point I believe he will be given another shot and off he will go.

If this is true Herman should have been canned on the spot.

December 1 may be the plan, but not if we keep losing, I heard the donors are as mad at a UT coach since Mackovic and the 66-3 loss to UCLA.

Herman has been blaming Covid and not getting enough reps. However if we lose to Baylor then that takes that excuse out. Baylor has been more directly effected for the last two weeks. Herman's record against Gundy also makes that a likely loss.

It may make sense to fire him before the season is over
I agree with everything you said. I'm trying to NOT make this one of those social media posts where someone says they like apples and people respond with "What are you, a grape hater?" So with my introductory clarification and not directed at you, the second paragraph gave me an opportunity to express a concern: I hope people don't do like the end of Akers tenure, pull for Texas to get beat so another coach can be hired.. As much as I dislike how TH's coaching and off field activities, let's continue to pull for tbe burnt orange and white. Hopefully the administration will correct a big mistake quickly as possible.

Once again PD, this is not directed at you or intend any disrespect toward you. I'm using this as an opportunity to share a thought with all Horn fans. Thank you.

Tell me if I am becoming too cynical.  Could TH purposely be using the eyes issue as a means to save face for a future coaching job?  He is by all accounts the master of deflection.  What if he in order to have an excuse if he does get fired wanted to use the eyes issue to say he stood up against racism and stood up for his players and that is what really cost him his job.  This would take the focus off of his coaching failures.  He could say that he was only insubordinate for the sake of the woke cause.  I’m sure some school would think that heroic and hired him for that alone.  TH seems to play all sides against each other so no matter what happens he can use some type of an excuse by playing all sides to make him look better or like a sacrificial lamb.

Yes.  CDC spoke to the team on Wednesday morning.  Now why would the AD have to relay the eyes Ike’s to the team?  Answer.  Because the head coach never did.  TH did not want to be the bad guy.  This feeds in the the later post that I did about Herman deflecting to make himself a hero if only to the team.  He basically said screw CD, and screw the fans. I I just now remembered in his Monday presser following the loss to TCU if I remember correctly that the tradition of the eyes was still in tact but some have opted not participate.  A question was asked again about the eyes and TH responded with a smirk and said YES and the just stared for what seemed to be 15-20 seconds. It was completely silent.  It was so awkward that the university scrubbed it out of .  the video of the presser that they released to the public.  I have not been able to go back and watch it again in its unedited form because I can’t seem to locate it.  Worth watching if you can find it.  Very telling.

I don't pretend to know Tom Herman's mind or his inner thoughts, but in order to even want to do something like that you'd have to have something that said you were successful at what you do, while you were here. His legacy is shit right now. He leaves, every one knows him as the coach who couldn't get out of his own way and made Mensa a punchline.

If CTH wants to quit coaching and start a career in social justice adventures, I'd encourage him to do that.

I just heard an announcer say "all the eyes of Texas are on a&m" after beating Florida. That stung.
