Hermann needs to go

So Herman just stated on Monday’s evening news that players aren’t required to stay for the singing of the Eyes of Texas.  Basically do what they want. He respects both those that stay on the field and those that leave early.  Same for the coaches I guess because he said “most” not “ all” the coaches stayed on the field for the “Eyes of Texas”.

Team had got to be fractured.  No way they play worth a damn the rest of the season.
Political correctness is cancer. He can't get fired soon enough for me. It will take years to dig out of this hole.

How can one be arrogant in a situation like this? CTH just showed you how it's done. lol

At least Strong was not arrogant.   Watching game now and looks worse than on Sat. Rerun on satellite.

Yeah, it was awful. It was awful for three solid quarters and that's inexcusable. If we can't beat OU during a down year for them and an up year for us, then when can we beat them?

I don't see OU playing in the Big 12 champ game. They aren't a very good football team. But we made them look like they were.

To use a quote by a real journalist at the end of his news broadcast each day:

"And that's the way it is."  Walter Cronkite

I would give my pinkie toe for us to hire urban meyer. its been a long time since we've had a real football coach. you know he'd take the gig because winning at three different schools would put him up there with Saban in terms of his legacy.

I was thinking about this just yesterday.

I liked Strong as a person but he wasnt getting it done as HC but you have to consider Strong had Swoopes at QB and Herman has Sam.  Now add the arrogance of Herman into and its settled for me.  I want his ass gone but I dont have to write the check

if urban says yes I think they'd get it done, no way we are that stupid, boosters have deep pockets. you don't move on from Herman unless urban is in the bag.

The eyes of Texas situation on Saturday has added a new level of dissatisfaction with Herman. As you would expect there were a few folks hesitant to fork out the money to get rid of him but the new thought is “he doesn’t represent the UT brand” it’s beyond X’s and O’s. They were under the impression that the players could choose but they would “choose” to honor the University. One particular, infuriated alum said “it’s time to blow it up. Get rid of his ass and pull every scholarship but Sam’s. If they are going to wear Texas across their chest it needs to mean something to them”. If you thought Tommy was I’ll prepared to handle this coaching gig on the field that’s nothing compared to what’s happening behind closed doors. It’s hard to talk your way out of something in a one way conversation.

Here’s a kick in the head.  If you had a month to prepare for a bowl game as an underdog would you pick TH to coach your team?  Let that sink in.

Now if you had to prepare for a game week to week as the favorite would you want TH to coach your team?

Now that it has sunk in do the university, players, fans, and recruiting a favor and get the guy that put a hole in the boat out of the boat and let’s repair it with some Meyers glue.

Pretty much what I was told today, except for the quoted stuff.

Excellent post.

Not long after Herman was hired I got into a "discussion" with someone on this board about Mensa individuals. I've worked with two and hope I never ever have to again. They think their sh1t doesn't stink and everyone else is an idiot. Their entire demeanor is counter productive to the organization.

It looks like Herman and Clay are the only two in the top not living up to their talent level. That's pitiful that he's recruited this well with results we've seen.

The 10 most talented CFB teams for the 2020 season

NO. 5 TEXAS LONGHORNS (892.91)

Yep, Texas is back. At least back among the most talented teams in the country. The Longhorns ranked just 13th in the Team Talent Composite during Tom Herman’s debut season in 2017. That team had a single five-star player and 35-four-star recruits. Three top eight classes later – including back-to-back No. 3 efforts in 2018 and 2019 – Texas can now claim four five-star players and 49-four stars. Their average player rating has jumped from 88.88 to 90.39.

Herman had all of the pieces he needed to make a run. He can't blame talent on Texas' 2-2 start to the season.

I wonder if herman and co. Really  study any opponent game film. Seems like the texas staff does not look for any weakness/tendencies that they can expose. I believe they have an offense game plan that they feel will work but its just scripted plays with no real regard to what the opponent is good or bad at. Maybe thats why they subsititute players for different plays that they think are better with certain personnel packages whatever his thinking is has not worked. The whole staff is lacking in game planning. I cant even talk about making adjustments during the game or after halftime..everything just looks the same ...crap! After watching sams performance on saturday he was off his game but is the new qb coach and oc trying to change sams decision making? He had opprotunities to run the ball and extend the play but he would throw the ball instead. These coaches are not playing to the strengths of the players and certainly not taking advantage of weak spots of opponents.smh

One of the podcasts said this is a Herman weakness.
