I'm not disappointed dammit. This is UT. If the reports are true that Strong fought for this job, has a fiery gut, and will fight to make UT strong (no pun) again, then I'm all about it. Those were things Mack wasn't willing to do.

Sorry, but this alum isn't going to be mad, grumpy, sad that it wasn't Saban. Sure he was my #1, but I like who we got. I like the passion he showed to get this job.

And there's not ONE PERSON on this message board who can predict the future. Jesus Christ, if you're predicting failure because you didn't get your way or your guy didn't get the job or because Strong didn't do X or Y at Louisville, then I'm not sure you even went to UT. Use some logic--stop basing everything on emotion.

I just went from someone that frequents the boards and follows Texas football all the time to someone that will just watch the games on TV Saturdays in the Fall. We are going nowhere.
I hate Mack Brown as much as I hate Obama. They both suck and HATE is the correct emotion.

Those guys are RARELY as important and powerful as they think they are. Anyone with ability to think for themselves could see that it was an extreme long shot on getting Saban to Texas.
