Greg Little

I like Strong and thought he was a great pick but I must admit Watson wasn't at the top of my list of OC's. Be that said, with Ash & Espinoza getting hurt during the 1st game and others getting the boot off the team, Watson wasn't left with much. One of the best moves, if not the best, that both Strong and Watson did last year was not burn Heard's shirt in desperation.

One year is way too soon to judge so I'll get back to yall in a year or so. Funny, some/most people hated Greg Davis and all he did was have one of the top offensives almost every year.

He wasn't sarcastic. Trust me.

😎
if that is so and only his view matters then why bother reading anyone else's posts?  Unless of course he is trolling then that would make sense.  Either way carry on.

so I can tell them how wrong they are and correct them. I'm a teacher at heart.

Has Watson developed any talent at UT? No.

The reality is that Watson has shown himself capable of implementing a strategy only against mid-major defenses where the top athlete runs a 5.0 40, but whenever he is pared against legitimate D1 talent, Watson has proven himself to be utterly inept. Watson lacks the ability to develop and implement a D1 offensive strategy and Greg Little unquestionably understands that.

Hug Shawn Watson, love Shawn Watson, but call me when Shawn Watson gets past Cal, because he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against Brian Kelly and Notre Dame. Shawn Watson will never recruit legitimate talent at UT because Shawn Watson isn't a legitimate D1 offensive coordinator. He was second rate at Colorado, he was second rate at Nebraska and he only survived at Louisville because he didn't have to compete day in and day out against legitimate D1 defenses.

To get back to the topic of this thread, Greg Little isn't looking at UT because he doesn't want to entrust his NFL draft status to Shawn Watson, the guy who delivered 59 yards of total offense against the worst team in the SEC in Texas' most humiliating bowl game in memory. Elite players don't sign up to play for coaches who deliver utter humiliations.
any opinion on Sam Ehlinger?

From Day 1 I have said Watson is a decent position coach but has no business running an offense for a P5 program. Not all of us have forgotten the the TCU and Arky games. I'm certainly no Bielema fan, but I understand why he is still laughing at how easy it was to humiliate Shawn Watson's offense and personally, I am sick and tired of different facets of the UT program being laughed at by the national sports media ever week.

We will see if Shawn Watson is still running the UT offense in 2018 when Ehrlinger sees his first action.

As for this season, I hold out no hope that Watson can out strategize Brian Kelley. If Watson can find a way to score points against Cal, then maybe the Vegas over/under of 6 wins for UT might be at risk.

If UT does only win 6 games this year, there is no way in hell Coach Strong can keep Watson as OC. The Ehrlinger commitment, while no great surprise, is encouraging. A number of things that are happening are encouraging, for a change. I'm especially encouraged at how UT seems to be finally recruiting TEs. Let's get through 2015 before we start crowing about what a great QB we are going to have in 2018. Memories of Garrett Gilbert are still too fresh for some of us.

'elite players don't sign up to play for coaches...' Was your quote. No equivocation. No 'it'll be hard' . Quite certain in your position.
And yet some are. Making declarative statements that turn out to be wrong SHOULD come with some sort of 'hey, I might be wrong'.
