Greg Little

Alabama has to be feeling good about its chances with Little.
Agree.

The $ec played aggy like a fiddle so they could have a key to Texas' recruits. But hey, at least aggy can claim they're in the $ec! $ec!

What defined aggy in the minds of those in the SEC was 2012, when they weren't even close to being conference or national championship contenders and yet the aggys still referred to that season as "spectacular success."
Johnny Manziel has defined what Kevin Sumlin will build a player into. Obviously, Greg Little wanted more for his career. Lol.

I asked this in another thread. Are we recruiting Little? If not why not?

We have tried to for quite some time. That door hasn't been open. But last I heard was way back in December. Things may have changed, not sure.

On the other hand, many kids would give anything to play for Joe Wickline.

Anyone know a particular reason why he has no interest in us?

A coach? Parent? Uncle? Girlfriend?

But truly elite talent or #1 national position players don't want to play for Texas.
Until Texas upgrades past Watson, UT is going to be about developing 3-star players and not about recruiting 5-star talent. Greg Little has his sights set higher than UT, and rightfully so. As much as I wish otherwise, Shawn Watson is a great QB position coach, but not much of an offensive strategist. Elite talent like Little wants to play for a championship contender. 59 yards of total offense in the Texas Bowl against a conference cellar dweller after an entire year under Watson and Wickline didn't help in recruiting elite talent.

Why do you keep repeating this when it's far from factual? We get it, you don't like Watson. But geez stop repeating stuff that's far from being true.

Mcneal-4 star

Buechele stands a good chance of getting that 5th star after his performance

last week at the "Elite 11" Final.

your first paragraph is stated as fact when it's not.

Until the UT offense gets past performances such as against TCU and Arky, UT will never recruit truly elite talent. After last year, asking why Greg Little doesn't want to languish under Shawn Watson's offense is absurd.

Convince yourself all you want that UT is among the truly elite offenses in the nation, but UT isn't. The reason Greg Little doesn't want to play for UT isn't difficult to understand. Sadly, we essentially have no offense.

Why are you changing your story and completely nonresponsive to what I said?

Above you said "Until upgrades past Watson UT is going to be about developing 3 stars". This simply isn't true. Texas landed 8 4 stars on offense last year and have 3 4 stars currently committed in the '16 class. Your hate for Watson prevents you from having any type of real dialogue on recruiting because you just completely ignore facts like I posted above. i should know better to get in arguments with you because your views on Watson are so distorted.

Has Watson developed any talent at UT? No.
The reality is that Watson has shown himself capable of implementing a strategy only against mid-major defenses where the top athlete runs a 5.0 40, but whenever he is pared against legitimate D1 talent, Watson has proven himself to be utterly inept. Watson lacks the ability to develop and implement a D1 offensive strategy and Greg Little unquestionably understands that.

Hug Shawn Watson, love Shawn Watson, but call me when Shawn Watson gets past Cal, because he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against Brian Kelly and Notre Dame. Shawn Watson will never recruit legitimate talent at UT because Shawn Watson isn't a legitimate D1 offensive coordinator. He was second rate at Colorado, he was second rate at Nebraska and he only survived at Louisville because he didn't have to compete day in and day out against legitimate D1 defenses.

To get back to the topic of this thread, Greg Little isn't looking at UT because he doesn't want to entrust his NFL draft status to Shawn Watson, the guy who delivered 59 yards of total offense against the worst team in the SEC in Texas' most humiliating bowl game in memory. Elite players don't sign up to play for coaches who deliver utter humiliations.

After you further qualify your statement to read "I meant offense" . . Buechele (just stole the show at Elite 11), Hemphill-Mapps (even athletes gawk at his on-field antics) and Johnson (should be a 5-star) are aboard the Watson Train.

You're opinion seems to be mixed with some venom toward Watson. Recent feedback from recruits re: Watson goes against what you're suggesting.
