I've been told that Vance Bedford at Louisville implemented a 3-3-5 defensive alignment as a base defense. Which players currently on the UT roster does that benefit that may have been limited last year in terms of playing time?

The AD Patterson stated during the hiring process at one point that Texas would have a coach within 10 days to 2 weeks (more or less). A few days later Coach Strong was hired. Is there any truth to the speculation that Patterson lulled the BMDs into a false sense of security that they could impact the hiring when, in reality, Patterson already had his man and used the misdirection to quell any urgency the BMDs could have applied?

With the emergence of Brown is it safe to say that Gray will be given the opportunity to RS to ensure that he is healthy for the following season. And if that is the case who other than Joe will see handoffs? Easy guess would be Overstreet or Daje back to a full time rb..any sleepers (freshmen) to watch out for?

Very interesting question though my guess is Gray will be back. However what I think we do know is that there will be open competition for the starting role.

I've never understood why Overstreet was shut out this year.

In the hands of the right OC, Daje Johnson is pretty damn dangerous.

David Ash is not that bad. He could actually be very good. We are just fine at QB with Ash and a new staff.
