You better be nice. Sandra Bullock gave a stellar performance in Gravity. Clooney was cute, at best, but often confuses being cute with acting. Glad his role was limited. Bullock made it believable.

I give props to such an original story line. It was awesome and almost overwhelming at the same time. Getting back to earth from a free float in space? Are you kidding me?

Beats the heck out of the usual comic book flicks and remakes of good flicks of yesterday. Finally, a writer with an imagination.

Thought cage was good in Leaving Las Vegas, not a feel good movie but I thought it was well done.

Horrible actor.

George Clooney is great when he's playing George Clooney. He's like Kevin Costner in this aspect. When they are playing characters in their wheelhouse then chocolate meets peanut butter - movies like Oceans 11, O Brother Where Art Thou, etc.

However he's not a character actor and his range is limited. As a result, when he tries to go dramatic (or even trying to stretch out to something like Batman) it starts to go horribly awry.

Of course this may fall in some people's definition of "horrible actor", but there is a place for guys with on-screen charisma in lighter movies. That he does well.

However some guys just need to realize they are fastball pitchers and give up on the curve ball.
