Notables

• RECENT SUCCESS AGAINST TCU: Texas has won 13 of the last 16 and 17 of the last 21 meetings against the Horned Frogs entering Saturday's contest. The Longhorns posted a dramatic 99-98 double-overtime win in Austin earlier this season (Jan. 10).

• BAMBA SEEING DOUBLE: Freshman forward Mohamed Bamba recorded his 12th double-double of the season with his 18-point, 12-rebound effort in Wednesday's game against Kansas State. Bamba has registered seven double-doubles in his first 11 Big 12 Conference games and nine double-doubles in his last 13 games.

• SEEKING ANOTHER ROAD WIN: After posting an 0-11 mark in true road games last season, the Longhorns won their first three road contests to start this year (posting wins at VCU, Alabama and Iowa State). Texas has dropped four consecutive Big 12 Conference road games entering Saturday's contest in Fort Worth.

Wow, Smart's record is only two games above .500.  That is really poor.  He is not looking like he will be in Austin much longer IMO.

Typical weave around the three point line followed by a forced three by Coleman.  Lack of execution smells like poor coaching to me.  This is TCU with 7 scholarship players available and we look bad.  Can Todd Orlando coach hoops?

Covering the perimeter and contesting three point shots has killed us all year.  You would think the defense would improve as the season progresses.

I like Jacob Young, he has played hard this year when in games.  Improved from last year, so there must be some coaching involved.

Does Smart ever get fired up during games?  I have only ever seen him seem irritated with refs with eye rolls and hands up.  He needs more fire with addressing the team as well.  I have said this before but this hoops team over the last three years mirrors Strong's failed football coaching reign.

While I have typed three crappy defensive series with Drive dunks and layups.  My level of apathy increases with each game (sans the ou win!) with this hoops team.

It may be time to sit Dylan for a while. His offense in the past 3 to 5 games has been well, offensive.
