Seriously? That's what is passing as "bashing" these days? You can not be serious. I don't bash players. Porter has input nothing into this game and contintues to see the bulk of the reps. That is just pure reality. Heard has proven a better RB than Porter.

I want to see Heard with a passing play.  Great runs kid is electric with his feet.  I would like to see him pass a few times before the end of the game.

Sam has been more dominate than Heard running. They have to respect his arm so it's making it easy. When heard lines up everyone knows what's happening. Although they can't always stop it lol. I'm liking Sam... A LOT

I agree. So far, imo, he's put together a great gameplan for a true freshman's 1st collegiate start.

I'm not a fan of as many long passes... Seems a shorter passing attack would be more advantageous.

I agree so far. But give Heard a couple pass attempts it opens up more for him. And I think we'll be impressed with the results

I just don't want to see this board turn into one that allows bashing of players. I get that we can all run a bit hot at times, but let's try to keep it in check. It's one of the things that makes HornSports enjoyable on game days compared to others. If a guy messes up, makes a bonehead play, make mention. Let's not get personal. Every kid on this team isn't here because they have "nothing to input."  

Players and prospective players read this site. As Ron Burgundy would say, "stay classy San Diego."

And trust me, I want Texas to win and be successful as much as anyone on here

How good do you feel that Texas beats USC considering the competition today? 

I'm scared shitless.

I don't know what this team can do after you 6 quarters.

Sam does a great job getting yards with his feet.  It is easy to overlook how accurate Shane has been

I think that was a good half so far from Texas.

Defensively pretty sound, only one drive that got into scoring range and that was stuffed well by Malik. I like the play calling by Orlando, bringing a lot of pressure. Have to execute and finish some of those blitzes a little better imo. 

Offensively, I think Sam is having a solid game. No INT so far, escaping the pressure with his legs (0 sacks so far if I'm counting right). Good orchestrating the game, especially on that last drive. Better blocking from the OL, and establishing the run. Don't know what's up with Warren not getting any reps on the last couple of drives. I like the Heard package, would love to see some throws as well to keep it multi-dimensional.

I don't know what this team can do after you 6 quarters.

First off I think I will be able to answer this better after the Stanford game this evening. 

Secondly our defense is stepping up, I am way more confident. And with Warren in the mix now that will

free up our badass receivers. So to answer your question I think it will and should be a dog fight. Herman comes up big in the huge games. This kool-aid is tasting so good at halftime

Agreed for the most part... but Sam has no picks because of who we are playing against... if we're playing a decent team he has about 2.

It really depends. If USC loses today, they could be sleeping. If Sam has to start, could be ugly. He's still young and not used to it. I'm not sure. Texas secondary is also not looking good and can get torched by Darnold. Let's get through this one first lol. Sam has looked good but also made some freshman like throws. SJSU should have 2 picks.

Sam is playing pretty well.  Early miscommunication with receivers but for a true freshman it is expected.
