*****GAME THREAD: Texas Tech Red Raiders @ Texas Longhorns*****

Ingram seems to have just disappeared as he is not being used at all today.
Ingram aggravated his ankle.  I don't know which coaches are gone or which ones will be kept, but Stan Drayton needs to be retained, imo. He's done a tremendous job with all the adversity and injuries.

Dont know why that posted twice

Did Whittington play much this year as I know he got injured early in the season. If not would this be a red shirt year then?

Whittington played in game 1 and thats it.  He will be a RS FR next year.

If I didn't have a TV and couldn't watch the game, I'd swear we're behind 40-0 by the tone of this thread. Ya'll have a good one. Hook'em!
It sure was headed that way through the first 15 minutes.  Then again I predicted a 21 point win.

I think these referees decided we need to get out of this weather so let’s don’t call pass interference. It’s been both sides and they haven’t called it

This is what I dont understand from this offense...why dont they keep the foot on the pedal?  Why get conservative and predictable.  I know you have a decent lead, but the offense was best when attacking.  TT knows you want to burn clock so do something different.

I've been talking about how this offense just dies without Collin. Notice how the offense took off after that pass to Epps when down by 14 and scoreless.

To be clear, the offense shouldn't be that fragile. But once they got one pass then all the sudden things open up for Devin, Smith, etc. Playing tech also helps, but in the previous few games they've gotten smaller and eventually just shut down.

In most other aspects this game has been identical to the previous fames... slow start, defense loose early and tighter late,  ugly in places.

Beck seems like a good guy. I'm glad to see him get a good performance in his final game. However Texas will benefit from a better offensive approach.

I was harsh on the Longhorns at the beginning of this game , but they came together and just took control of the game.  Even with this win I am still not in favor of them playing in a Bowl game .

I am pretty sure even the "herman can do no wrong" crowd were down on the Longhorns when it was 14-0.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing, its never ever wrong.

I do not agree with the no bowl game, though.  That doesnt make any sense

Great post. I agree, this isnt pretty by any means and the staff isnt out of the woods but I do think something changed on the offensive side of the ball. Change for the better. Kinda fun to watch
