***GAME THREAD - Texas & Michigan***

And this is why Barnes needs to be fired... Just like mack brown, great recruiter can't coach worth a shit

Perhaps we should guard the 3P line?

They are smaller than us, funnel them into our shot blockers.

You hedge everything. So be it if they blow by you and get some layups. Have to force them to do something else.

Anyone wanna guess how many shots our one advantage in this game has?

Ridley ....

2 shots, entire 1st half

As bad as that half was Texas is only down by 13. Feels like 30. Two threes and Texas is right back in this game.

My criticism of this first half.

1-Our advantage is down low and Ridley didn't even touch the ball.

2-Texas is best when Felix isn't jacking shots. See KU and Arizona State when Felix was in foul trouble.

3-Hedge the three. If they get layups so be it. Have to make them do something else, other then hitting threes.

Good news is Ridley won't be going pro after this game. Shows his weakness guarding on the outside against stretch bigs and shows that he's still inconsistent on the offensive end (granted he hasn't had many touches).

Michigan didn't seem to have an answer for Taylor driving to the rim. I'd like to see more of that from all our guards.

HALFTIME THOUGHTS:

- Give credit to Michigan. They are taking and hitting their three point shots, not fouling and hitting their free throws. However, Texas can help themselves by drawing contact and driving the lane. I like Isaiah Taylor taking jump shots but them only getting 1 true foul in the 1st half is unacceptable.

- The Longhorns got tired when they went 8 minutes straight with no stops and it seems they haven't recovered since.

- Michigan obviously has more talent than the Longhorns but they are only down by 13 so they can still come back and win this game.
