Texas Baseball will hold their annual Alumni game at 2PM at Disch Falk Field. The game will be broadcasted on LHN. Follow along here for live updates.

I’ll be doing PBP on Twitter and Jameson will be manning the command center.

Notable members of the Alumni team include Drew Stubbs, Kacy Clemens, Ben Johnson, Morgan Cooper, Mark Payton, Parker French, Corey Knebel and Tres Barrera. Not all Alumni will play in the game. Eventually, all Alumni will exit and it will become an intersquad.

McGuire gets 8 year MLB veteran Drew Stubbs to strikeout. McGuire with some good sinking action on his fastball.

Freshman Bryce Elder gets the start for the Alumni team. Interested to see the 6’1 right hander. He showed major potential in the fall.

Super utility man Jake Mackenzie takes the bump. He saw some time in relief last season, and should be another option in the bullpen this year.

He should get some at bats at some point today. The DH spot is probably going to be the quickest way in the lineup for him with Reynolds playing 1B.

Impressive two innings for Elder. He should see significant innings as a 5th starter for weeks with 2 midweek games and in the bullpen on weekends.

Like what I've seen out of Elder.

Shugart works around a couple of runners to get out of the top of the 3rd. The biggest thing for him this season will be efficient innings and keeping pitch counts low. He has the stuff to be a great starter.

Nico O’Donnell on the bump now. Another freshman who I’ve heard good things about coming out of the fall. David Pierce called him the favorite for the midweek starter role right now.
