I think we overestimated our talent in the rb room

I think you're 100% correct on this one. I like Wisner, but he has limits and I'm afraid Baxter may never get back to what everyone thought he could be. Derrick Cooper might have what they need, but he likely won't get too much play at least early on next year (maybe he impresses in the Spring).

Main thing is and always does resolves around the OL. The coaching staff needs to do a better job of finding the best starting 5 earlier in the season next year.

Georgia fiasco ruined our chances, but remember what happened in 2001. Texas beat Colorado 40 something to 7 in regular season, but lost to Colorado in the B12 championship game. Maybe same result, but I want a rematch.

My thoughts on the game:

1. We were outgained by Arkie's offense. They had more first downs than we did. We simply gave up too much on defense and this seems to be our norm now.

2. Give it up for Manning. What a game. Very happy for him.

3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but no drops by the WRs today. Wait, Mosely dropped one. So did Livingston. Nevermind.

4. Did not like giving up scores late. Again, defense.

5. OL held up okay. Nothing great but nothing bad, either.

6. Baxter looked better. Wisner was good. We need to stay with the run although it's sure fun tossing TD passes.

7. Taylen Green is very good.

8. Not impressed with Deandre Moore's attempt to return a punt from the end zone. That could have been disaster.

9. I caught myself imagining Washington in burnt orange.

10. Ant Hill, you were missed.

Could classify those as stripped balls... dbs had their arms in there. Either way much better job tonight.

I rewatched the game this morning and as Captain Hookem stated, both were good plays by the arky DBs to strip the ball so I wouldn't say those were dropped balls. So based on that, good game by the WRs!

I don't think Sark will ever hire a real OC. And I think Texas management and fans will never hire Petrino period. But I must say that I am impressed with his play calling and overall offense. If I were in full control of UT Football, I would strongly consider hiring him as OC. I think it would make Sark better and Texas better.

Sark has alluded in a presser the reason UT hired him is because of his play calling...when asked about giving up the OC reins.
