*****Game Thread: No. 1 Texas vs. PVAMU*****

After 8 compete Texas leads 11-2. Howard probably coming in to pitch for Texas in the top of the 9th.

Top of the 3rd,
Leadoff single. Bunt single, but hitter is called out after turning towards 2nd. 1 out and 1 on at 2nd. Sac fly. Runner to 3rd. Followed by a single. Texas leads 2-1.
There is a correction on why the hitter was called out after the bunt single. He hit the white base instead of the green base at 1st base. Thus he was able to be tagged or called out by the 1st base ump.

I'm too much like Keith and old school on the base paths. But they changed this to help with calls at 1st base.

Easton Winfield ! Great night, been waiting on his bat to show up.
I agree. This was a great night for him to go from hitting 200 to 265 or around that at the plate. Just wish they would've let him stay in some games and see if the more at bats would've helped him out in some of those earlier games in the season.

I imagine that's a tough balance for coaches, especially at the college level. Baseball is a game of streaks and slumps but with the college season being so much shorter than the pros, can you afford to leave a slumping player in the lineup for very long?

Glad he got the Tuesday start and did well. Hopefully that leads to some more PT for him. We've got some low risk opportunities to work in some players coming up over the next few weeks, especially if our trip to Fayetteville goes well this weekend.

Following their sweep of Texas A&M, the No. 1 Texas Baseball team is back in action tonight at UFCU Disch-Falk Field to take on the Prairie View A&M Panthers. First pitch will take place at 6:30 pm with LHP Kade Bing getting the start for Jim Schlossnagle's club and RHP Isaac Herrera getting the nod for the Panthers.

Texas is 11-0 vs. Prairie View all time.

The game will be televised on SEC+ Network.
4-0 against A&M… lol

Appreciate all your updates David. Great night at The Disch! Hogs up next on Thursday in Fayetteville!
Thanks guys. Love to do it. Getting Craig and Keith insight is awesome. If y'all have any input or of @joeywa has inpit it will be welcomed. This was 1 of the few times where very few joined in, but that is okay. I would expect more next Tuesday against Lamar as they as a very solid team with at or over 30 wins and have ties to our coaching staff.
