*****GAME THREAD: #7 TEXAS vs. #25 KANSAS STATE*****

When a play develops as expected, MM does a good job of pretty consistently delivering a nice pass. But when a play starts to break down, he's clueless and just wings it. The OL gave him a really clean pocket all game so pressure wasn't an issue. He's just not seeing the field. It's a skill that takes time to develop and he doesn't have it yet. He could have easily had at least a couple more INTs if KS had held onto them. Sure hope QE gets back soon because there's no way we win out without him because any of our remaining foes are capable of beating us.
thats the problem with a guy that has a gun like MM, he thinks he can fit the ball into a target the size of a small pizza

I don't think we control our own destiny, but if we win the remaining B12 games and the championship we would be sitting at 12-1. That would likely get us into the CFP, but even if it doesn't I don't think anyone would be disappointed.

With Quinn at qb, we have a good chance with most teams.
With 2nd string qb, we are not really going to be competitive with CFP teams.
The main goal is to be Big 12 champs. And we can be competitive with either qb in that scenario.

With what I saw yesterday, each of our remaining games are a toss-up with MM. Our opponents have film on him now and will know how to confuse him. Our only hope is that the running game and the D can carry us until QE gets back. That's doable, but TCU, ISU, and tech will bring their best games of the season against us.

It seems to me that except for the turn over that Maalik plaed well in the first part of the game, then at some point he seemed to lose his ability to accurately put the ball where it was needed. I'm not sure if he was rattled, or if he had some kind of injury, hopefully whatever it was gets resolved before his next appearance.

I’m liking what I see out of the downhill run game. The sideways ru game, not so much. Both Brooks and Baxter can roll when they get their shoulders squared up with the LOS. I think folks are suprised with the run game production but I felt like Brooks would be solid. He has proven he belongs and then some. I think him playing in honor of his dad gives him something personal to play for.

I should've clarified, I meant control their own destiny as it relates to the B12 Championship. The CFP is set in my mind, unless something crazy happens. UGA or Bama are in (SEC Champs), Michigan or tOSU are in, Florida St. Is in, and one of Oregon or Washington are in. I know Texas beat Bama, but if Bama beats UGA in the SEC champ then that will trump a week 2 loss. Texas will remain 6 or 7 and play in the Sugar bowl

Could be, but this is college football and things rarely play out as expected.

Hopefully Texas will continue to find a way to win.

All we can do is keep winning, but we are definitely hoping for weird stuff to happen in order to secure our spot in the CFP. For a minute I thought usc was going to do us a solid and beat Washington

Ohio state will play Michigan.

With the talent Texas has even with MM, there isno way Horns should not be a 3 TD favorite in remaining games!
