*****GAME THREAD: #7 TEXAS vs. #25 KANSAS STATE*****

Probably weren’t saying “should have ran the ball more” when MM had 165 yard passing in 1st half… but then again it’s you so maybe you were

And people think we are SEC ready. Is it still OK to have an opinion here? The only aggy like fans here are the ones who try to crucify those that act as realists.
Well I seem to remember beating an SEC team….who was it, oh yes Alabama.
Do you remember that ?

The last 2 pages are nothing but a couple of guys bitching at each other. Can you get your own room? Nobody gives a ratz azz about ya'lls opinions.

It's a shame that this site now has so many wanna-be monitors that get so butt hurt over other postings. These guys need to get a life, after all it is just a forum for a sporting event. I'd hate to see what shape these "monitors" would be in in a real crisis.

We've won three games with a RS frosh QB with no prior meaningful snaps. We've had a lot of injuries to key players, some of whom are still out. Our D is excellent, and the offense is excellent when we have QE, and the STs are really good, too. It appears that we, along with osu, will be alone at the top of the B12 standings if KU, who is leading at halftime, goes on to beat ISU tonight. Win out, and we are guaranteed a slot in the CCG. Win that game and we have a good chance to make the playoffs. Not bad for a team that everyone here would have been thrilled to be 8-1 at this point with that lone loss coming down to the last play. Sark and team are doing really well for only his third year. Give him another year or two to build even more depth and we'll be in the playoffs annually. Hookem!

Just bring the meatloaf!!!

Which reminds me, I’m about due to fix a smoked meatloaf.

Some of these posts reminds me of a scene from Lonesome Dove where Captain Call replied to the other main character, Gus. Captain Call said: “I swear, Gus. You'd argue with a possum.”

Yea… nothing was wrong with the play call when someone fumbles…. Or when MM just randomly throws it to our OL on a screen. My point was, 14 of the 21 points were off turnovers and good field position for KSU. It’s football, shit happens and Texas moves on

You are correcton the 14 points then one flubed extra point proably decided the game that was a fumble. any glad Horns won and K St. did not discover the pass till Texas had a big lead.

Defense: K State scored on TD drives of 75 yards, 42 yards (blocked punt), 32 yards (fumble), 12 yards (int) and a 33 yrd FG drive. Thats 21 legit points off turnovers. The 75 yard drive I did not agree with the defensive strategy, started playing too soft to try to have them run the clock down. It took them 4:13 seconds to score and they did have to overcome a few 3rd downs. That was quickly followed by the INT and Fumble and they quickly turned a 20 pt lead into a tie.

Offense: MM was sharp early but then awful. Did his injury get aggravated? Did his performance falter after getting off the opening script? He bounced back with a good drive to give us the go ahead FG but that was about all he could manage after the 1st qtr. 3 turnovers also didn't help the situation.

We ran the ball pretty consistently well throughout the game. I feel that MMs inability to hit pretty easy open WRs killed our offense must of the 2nd half.

..I also posted about possibality of MM back bothering him. Might be what made him so lnconsistant on throws.Never was that bad in other games. I am old school and belive run the ball to preserve leads and clock management.

While I do agree with this post, the fact is the game was close and it did require an OT win...let it go. We literally just beat a ranked opponent with a rs freshman qb making his 2nd career start. Let's celebrate the fact that we're 8-1 and in the cat bird seat to go to the Big 12 championship game...
Well said brother

Possibly but hes a freshman in his second game. He was hot most of the first half but his performance and confidence faded right before the half. He made some clutch plays and bad decisions but in the end his inexperience shows. Arch needs to RS and get the year to learn. We need Quinn back badly.

BTW Cam Wiliams another young cost us pretty big with 3 false starts. Also anyone else kinda disappointed in Baxter? Yea he had a long run on 4th down but other than that he seemed inept. Brooks is far better IMO but was hurt in the game.

I actually thought Blue looked pretty good. He hits the hole quickly and seems to be able to find the small openings with his few chances. KRob as well.
