GAME THREAD – #7 Texas vs Texas State

Be interesting to see what Schlossnagle does in the Outfield next couple weeks. With Beylue out, i thought he might go back to Easton Winfield. Kid had good power numbers last year, struggled so far this year. Would love to see some Jonah Williams as well.

Probably best guess for the outfielders will be something along the lines of Winfield, Gasparino, and Farmer as the starters in the conference games. Then late innings depending on the weather, score, and other factors we could see Scott II, Williams, or Duplantier. Duplantier would most likely be a pinch runner for Winfield as well as Farmer.

BTW, we have lost 4 straight at home to Texas State and like 6 of the last 8 to them after tonight. So, while we have a great lead on the overall series; they are like blow u in football with more wins lately then what we would like to know about.

Texas loses 5-3.
Left 12 on base. To many strikeouts(12). 2 errors. Jason Flores gives up only 3 hits, which were the only hits for Texas State. But 4 unearned runs in the top of the 8th after Flores gets 2 outs.
J. Duplantier did get a RBI double in the bottom of the 9th to get Texas the 3rd run.
