GAME DAY! Horns vs Clemson – CFP Rd 1

While I feel Texas is a much better team, the offense of recent likes to get lots of penalties and turn it over 2+ times.

Every playoff team knows to jump on Quinn’s first read and every DL knows to throw their hands up bc Quinn is susceptible to tip balls.

Clemson will be very very aggressive here. I think we make them pay for it but if we don’t then it’ll be closer than we all like and need the defense to help us win.

We will run the ball, play time of possession and keep the score down. Here comes Wisner with 30+ carries!

I'll reserve judgement until the end of the first quarter. Until then I will be anxious.

Ewers could very easily come out slinging it, but I think Sark likes to just control the game and let the D suffocate the opposing team. Wisner could have 30 carrier or Ewers could air it out, who knows.

So what happened to "All gas no breaks"? Has Sark lost that much faith in Quinn? If so why doesn't he start Arch?

I don’t know, I’m not the coach. lol maybe Sark has adapted to a ball control O.

I’m just going to sit back and enjoy, games are won and lost in the trenches and I think Texas is better in the trenches.

Calling it now Texas by 21 or more. Coming off a loss, first CFP game at home, and Clemson probably one of the most overrated teams in the CFP.

As Mr T would say

Probably because he still thinks that Quinn gives us our best chance to win. I guarantee that is the only metric Sark cares about right now.

Assuming a redshirt freshmen with limited experience playing college ball is the solution is shortsighted. It's a classic example of the backup QB being the most popular player on a team.

We have the nations best defense and an inconsistent offense right now. Our best approach isn't a track meet, first to score 40 points wins. Our best approach as a team is to run the ball, play great defense and keep the other team scoring less than 20 points.

Hey the only 2 games that Texas lost they gave up over 20, so as long as they hold them under 20 I like our chances! lol

DMAC gets it. Y'all ought to read CTJ's epistle on Surly. He puts it out there thump by thump. The term he uses is "mudhole"

Texas....a lot!

Clemson....a lot less!
