Game 3: UCLA Bruins

Excellent stuff, Mike. Let's hope that folks want to talk about football as much as they do about beer sales.

This game sets up to be of monumental importance to both sides. A loss in Dallas wouldn't break the Horns' season, but a loss for the Bruins might be enough to keep them out of the playoff.

If Strong's team looks good in the first 2 games, then this one will get a ton of hype.

This may well be the best football team we play this year.

7 weeks from tomorrow cannot come too soon.

I am ready for football.

HUGE game for Strong and this team. In my opinion this will be the best QB Texas faces this year in Brett Hundley. Bedford's defense will be tested. Texas wins this game and things get interesting....

And let's not forget Sean telling us about how Mora is quietly hyping this game and has been for months.

I'm not expecting a win, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well we play against a top team.

I don't see us winning this game. . .UCLA is that much better than us. . . sucks to say but it's the truth . ..

Having said that, the loser of the game is hardly out of the playoff picture. . .it will be interesting at the end of the year if the Playoff committee keeps their word and makes conference titles a big part of the matrix. . .

A 2 loss Pac or Big XII champ vs a 1 loss SEC team that doesn't even win it's division. . who gets the last nod?

Back to the loser, they obviously have to win the conference and 1 more loss at the absolute most more likely run the table from there.

The big game nobody is talking about. Maybe Mike should have thrown in some Jerry World stats on seating capacity and beer sales so y'all would be more interested in the game.

It's a huge game. We'll see a more-than-likely Heisman finalist up against our defense, which has had two games to prepare for.

You do have to wonder whether or not the team will be coming off of an emotionally draining week against BYU. That's a big game for the team. A lot to prove against BYU after last year and then they have to follow that up with a game in JerryWorld against UCLA?

Brutal.

Lukus, I think it is important to note that Charlie and Co. will be preparing them.  That cannot be overstated.  I loved his methodology described in an article that I read a few weeks ago.

Can this be one of the best defenses UCLA will be facing all year?  I think so.

Never, never bet against Texas.  Sunrise and sunset are Burnt Orange!

Hook 'em!

Easily the game that I'm the most excited for. It's definitely a huge opportunity to prove ourselves, whether we win or lose. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a win, though!

anybody else irritated this game is not in Austin? we play our biggest game of the year in DFW already. did we have to play our second biggest game there too?

I know, i know.....money talks, bulls**t walks.
