No longer sure how to gauge a playoff game involving Newton. Just saw these stats. Fan FB page:

All you Newton Nation stat heads get this, Newton scored 79 in the Region 3 finals game. The other 3 regional final games (6 teams total) had a combined 76 points scored. Let that sink in. The TOTAL COMBINED POINTS were 76!! Purple Pride Never Dies!!

That was the worst loss suffered by any DF team in school history.

Newton may get a good game from Gunter, if they beat Canadian. Gunter and Newton share a common opponent – Daingerfield. Gunter-DF met early in the schedule with Gunter pulling off a modest win.

Amarillo Tascosa – first time this deep in the playoffs since 1964. First time an Amarillo ISD school has been this deep since 1994. That said, I think it comes to an end against Longview.

GP North Shore vs Lake Travis could be a very good game. I think North Shore takes this one though.

Likewise, Allen vs Duncanville could be one of the best games in years.

Carthage-Liberty Hill – wow.
