So, it is always important to rank the Baseball Class after they get to class... As you never know who will show up on campus until the MLB draft is over with..

Well 3 publications have put out their ranking on the Longhorn Class and it range from #2-Baseball America, #6-Collegegiate Baseball News, & #18 from Perfect Game.

Florida Lands No. 1 Recruiting Class

Recruiting Roundup: Notes From Around The Country - BaseballAmerica.com

I am trying to bias, I have seen, Barrera, Gurwitz, Goins, Malmin, Clemens, Cooper, & Boswell. I have also seen 2 other freshmen that are walkons, Ben Kennedy and Connor Macalla. I am probably one of the few that have seen majority of the Freshman class even before they showed up on campus.. I like this class, this class will be the corner stone for the next 3-4 years.

Do I think the #2 ranking is a little high?? Most likely..Do I think the #18 ranking from Perfect game is too low! Heck ya!!

Questions?? Comments??

Have no idea what Perfect Game is looking at. Crazy.

I think it's a top 5 class. And I'm just excited that the MLB draft didn't kill us. For the first time in forever we are getting a dose of elite level talent. If the freshmen are as good as advertised I think there's a good chance this team could make a deep run this year. Augie didn't just forget how to coach the past two seasons.

They based it on the number of kids that Texas sign. They said that 10 is a small class..but when you can only have 35 on the roster and 28 on scholarship..10 is the right amount..

Spoke to a one of the Freshman's Dad..He also agreed that the PG ranking was a real head scratcher as well. He and I both feel that PG base their rankings on the players on if the players are more then likely to sign with an MLB team versus going to college.
