Fox Sports: Why is Texas waiting to fire Charlie Strong?

Promote coach traylor to HC for rest of the season and then go slap 8million a year across someone's face and get this shit back on track

I posted on another site yesterday that the K-State game today was going to either be the beginning of something special, or the end of this. I truly believe this. The opening drive by K-State was all I needed to see that once again Strong and his staff -- THE ENTIRE STAFF -- did not have the team prepared.

The offense, for all the success they've had this year, still has issues. How does Duvernay not get a MINIMUM of 10 targets per game and needs to be utilized in the run game. Collin Johnson needs to be more involved. These two guys are not being utilized as much as they should be. 

What has happened to No. 46?

Is Bonney the best DB we have on that side? He could not cover Bill Snyder.

It's not about one game, it's about 14-18, plain and simple. It's not the loss today, but the absolute lack of preparation and discipline. 

And I have no idea who Texas has a legitimate shot at hiring because I'm not convinced that Tom Herman is the guy.

 
May I suggest that we NOT use the search firm that we used the last time.  Why use those people?  Is it because we can?

I liked the strategy of gathering our own search committee of former players, including those now in business or the NFL, and heading to various locales to interview prospective coaches at neutral sites.  I wish Royal was still around, and I am really glad Powers and his ego isn't.

Hey, don't we have a retired formerly successful college football coach who offices from the 40 acres? I wonder if he has any interest in finishing the season for us as interim HC😜

Isnt Traylor the ST coach?  I believe so.  Unless I am mistaken and judging our ST play......NO THANK YOU

 
Glad you were being sarcastic.  I could only think of Mack or MacWilliams, and I really didn't think we wanted to open the Mack can of worms again.  Next time, please use the sarcasm font.   :o
