Greg Robinson, 2004 co-defensive coordinator for the Longhorns, is back in Austin for the upcoming season and possibly beyond. Robinson returns to Austin as a football analyst in the Player Personnel Department.

Robinson's quote:

When we talked about this, the opportunity to come back to Texas with Mack Brown was a no brainer
Welcome back to the 40, coach.

I like this hire a lot. Robinson brings a wealth of defensive knowledge (hey, Manny) and some fire.

I wonder how much Mack will let him breath down Manny's neck? Robinson's defenses at Michigan in '09 & '10 were horrible.

Actually, according to the guys @Horns247, he's not gonna be back in Austin, except for gamedays through Monday's. Will base out of his LA home and fly in on Saturdays for the games, meet with coaches on Sunday and Monday and then return to LA.

Actually I think he will be fairly hands-off. No way in hell the defense can be worse than last year which means Manny will come out of the season looking ok. If they play equally as bad then he's toast.
