For Joeywa and other baseball guys...

1) They hit well

2) Their starting pitchers are good but not great.

3) They have bullpen issues, so Texas will be best served to be patient and get to the bullpen. Their bullpen actually has some good pitchers, but they always get in trouble.

4) Their slated starter tonight, Moreno, has control issues. Has 15 walks. Saw highlights of him pitching against New Mexico State, he's all over the place. If Texas is patient, Moreno won't get through 6 innings.

Series loss to BU, 2-1 (in Waco)

Series win over TCU, 2-1 (in Ft. Worth)

They've only lost 2 games at home.

and the wind blows. usually out.
i bet we have a couple of home runs this series because their fences are reasonable.
move along. this thread was intended for knowlegeable baseball fans.

After a couple of weekends like the last two with three games on LHN, I will be missing the coverage.

The game is on Fox College Sports tonight I believe, if you get the channel.

French needs to keep from hanging anything up in the zone tonight. It's imperative that we get ground ball outs, as the ball traditionally carries well in Lubbock.

I think we continue hitting with confidence this weekend. Just a hunch.
