we're hiring bo pelini?
[sarcasm]Maybe y'all are sending Mack that way. Wasn't Nebraska interested in him and didn't Pelini throw up the gauntlet of “If they want to fire me, go ahead.”[/sarcasm]we're hiring bo pelini?
That's actually pretty funny.[sarcasm]Maybe y'all are sending Mack that way. Wasn't Nebraska interested in him and didn't Pelini throw up the gauntlet of “If they want to fire me, go ahead.”[/sarcasm]
You just cost me a set of steak knives!I feel like Markinson is breaking the news to Caffey that Jessop has made our flight disappear and Caffey is saying he might have made it so that it didn't take off but we can damn sure prove that it landed.
I can see why Alabama (Ego) would be offended but I dont blame Saban for seriously considering Texas. Its a business at the end of the day you really shouldn't take sh*t personally. They would have fired him after 2-3 losing seasons and not thought twice. He has leverage and isn't affraid to use it.... I can't blame a man for that. Hell I wish I could pull that move and get a raise like the one he just received.I will say that someone I know reasonably well is married to a Saban/Bama employee. This person knows coach Saban and speaks to him everyday. I sent an email a few days ago and just received a response. It inferred that while this person believes nothing is happening and Coach Saban is NOT considering Texas, there seems to be some odd things happening in the AD dept. Take that for whatever it may or may not mean.
I cannot decide what it means myself. Probably nothing.
At this point, I think Saban isn't happening. But that might be my acute sense of disappointment rearing it's ugliness. Rather than feel betrayed and mortally wounded by no Saban later, I'm trying to talk myself into thinking it is not possible.
Truth be told, I would almost bet a lot of money, that Saban would not be the best hire for Texas. Don't know who is or would be, but at 62, chances are that someone else could be a longer term solution.
