Fisher or Saban?

We need a complete and thorough culture change. Even if no NC, Saban for the win.

I like both for different reasons.

Saban is the best in the business bar none.

Fisher is much younger, an up and comer that was Saban's OC on the LSU MNC team and has put together an electric FSU team that oozes athleticism.

Would love to see such speed and athleticism at Texas. He also has a great eye for talent and knows how to develop it.

That being said, I dont think we will ever see another Saban in our lifetimes. I think Carroll might have had as much success if he stayed at USC but we will never know.

My only concerns with Saban are his age and dealing with the the non-football coaching responsibilities at Texas. The latter could be a blessing in disguise if he is able to change our culture from one that focuses on appearances and money to winning and winning big.

I love me some Harbaugh. However, it is not going to happen. The "elephant" in the room is 1a and the Seminole is 1b.

I think either one would be a winner.But if its totally up to Patterson I think it will be Saban. With all those hunting trips they have had together over the years. Nothing like hunting together for bonding a friendship.

Saban. He's a young 62. Saban has proven more in a much tougher conference compared to the ACC over the last 4 years.

If I knew we could get Fisher for 7+ years and get his A game, I'd want Fisher. In my opinion he is a level behind Saban in terms of coaching but not much further behind. Call him top 5 or top 10 with Saban being #1. So, if I can get Fisher as a long term coach, that would be preferable. But, since there is no guarantee that happens so I want Saban knowing it is a deal for 7 years or less.

Would agree, I suspect he would be here 3 to 5 yrs, win a MNC and then head off to retirement and then we could reboot with another great coach
