What's funny is, how many different times and by different people have we heard that UT is the best coaching position in all of college football, but then all these same clowns question why in the wide world of sports would he leave for Texas?! Like it is just crazy for him to go to the place many feel is the best head coaching position in the game.

I have a good friend who's a Bama fan who has called me every time Finebaum has commented on the Saban to Texas story. He believes every word that comes out of the man's mouth. I cannot wait for this deal to be done...paybacks are hell!!!!

His success is inexplicable to me. He is second only to John Clayton on the nerd richter scale, but unlike Professor Clayton he has no discernible talent. His SEC bias and palpable disdain for any team not associated with the SEC is inexcusable in a national broadcast. He has no business being associated with ESPN. I also would derive great pleasure from seeing him made a fool.

His disdain for Texas is based on his main fanbase being SEC schools. I don't think he has any real disdain for Texas. Rather, he knows his popularity revolves around keeping the attention of the SEC fanbase and they want to hear flattering things about themselves and unflattering things about Texas.

He HAS to say that. His base is in Alabama and he cannot allow himself to be viewed as having participated in UA or AU losing a popular coach. Today he'll have half of Alabama tuned into his show and he'll try to quiet the mob.
