What another media expert that sees this hire as a home run. No way. The only people that think we bunted are our own fans, who are proving to be unaware that Texas was tied in game 7 of the WS at home in the 9th inning.

I agree! I couldn't believe all of the fans that weren't posting that this was a horrible hire and that Patterson was already deemed a failure.

Charlie Strong is exactly what the University of Texas needed in a new coach. He is a tough no nonsense coach who who put together a physical team while at the same time changing the culture here at Texas. I also like the fact that he will come in with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Looking forward to the future!

I don't think people are truly against the Strong hire. It's just we had our hopes up for a can't miss guy. I was definitely negative about it last night but after researching and digesting it a bit I am becoming excited about what he could do here. Is he Saban or Meyer. No. But that doesn't mean he can't be Saban before he took over at LSU or Meyer before he took over at Florida. He could be the next great one. We will see.

We were led to believe we had a shot at an icon. Instead we got a very good coach. It understandable that people are disappointed. Give them a little time and they will get behind him.
