Manny's back and Texas fans are hoping for a much better defensive product on the field in 2013. The team MUST tackle better as a whole - I do not think there is a chance in hell we could be worse than last year at tackling. Big question is who will play safety with the departure of Vaccaro? Diggs is probably the guy but you never know. The staff will undoubtedly work all the guys pretty hard in the spring to filter it out but DIggs seems like the logical choice. Adrian Phillips will get a lot of consideration as well.

Peter Jinkens needs to play every down next year too. No questions asked.

I agree with many of your points here. I like the move for Diggs and think he can shine. I don't know if I am the only one who can't stand A Phillips, but he doesn't need to see the field if he keeps whiffing on tackles like he did last season. Every time an opponent had a "big play", that usually made Sportscenter, he was the one missing the tackle. Or, he was bouncing off of the opponent like s frisking racquetball. That kid has some growing up to do. Seeing him on the field last year gave me a bad feeling. And a lot of times, there was a good reason for it.
