I saw my first Texas and A&M game at Kyle Field in the 1940s. We went over there by train.

I always thought it was a great place to play football.  And to watch it.

Of course, it was better when we won....which we did a lot of.

Since this is an aggy football related thread... I got a phone call from Buffalo this afternoon. Chuckie Sonntag, the amputee tamu is going after for using the aggy trademark, is frustrating the hell out of the aggy attys. Aggy wants him to go away and for the bad press he helped generate to go away. There should be an update on the situation this week.

Guess this is another reason why I changed my major from engineering.  According to the article, Kyle Field will have a capacity of 106,000 for this football season.  Once renovations are completed, it will have a capacity of 102,512.  What am I not seeing here???.....lol

I remember playing a HS play-off game there.  Coming from a rural town in Texas, of course there were a lot of guys on the team that were in awe they were playing on Kyle Field.  Some of them even were grabbing some of the grass off the field to take home as a souvenir after the game.  It was no big deal to me, I thought the guys were nuts for going so crazy about playing at kyle field.  We did win the game, and luckily none of our other play-off games brought us back to that field.

I played three playoff games in the Astrodome, but unfortunately couldn't roll up any of their carpet as a keepsake.

18" should accommodate most corps turds' narrow asses, but I can see where their co-eds may have a problem with those specifications.
