Matt Jackson has been on Houston radio for a while. Before he was hired in radio he was a student at U of H and he was a frequent caller. He was referred to as "Cougar Matt". He's always had a complex about Texas. He's a goober.

By the way, I've been listening to Houston sports talk on a regular basis for close to 30 years. I also listen to XM (SiriusXM College and Finebaum mostly) quite a bit now. I never think to turn my radio to FM, so I rarely here ESPN radio. I mostly listen to AM 790, 610 and 1560.

Hey guys I just got back from lunch and while I was in the car I had the radio on with Dave Tepper and whoever is co-host is I dont remember his name. Anyways they were laying into UT and Coach Strong pretty good. It was brutal. Said that Texas had to settle because nobody else wanted to come here. Said Strong would be hard pressed to go 7-5 next year. Just absolutely trashed the school and the hiring of Charlie Strong. Did anybody else here catch that?

Sounds like some of the DFW radio guys who trash TEXAS at every turn. . .so little good sports radio out there it's sad. . . and the quality people get pushed aside for "look at me" idiot shock jocks. . .
