Elite 11 coaches on Shane Buechele

I don't put much stock in the Elite 11 stuff. We'll see how he does on a real football field. I'm a bit concerned about his height.

Great stuff.

If I'm CFS, I shut it down, bring Merrick in for the '15 class (though you could consider him the #2 in 2016).   Buechele is already recruiting hard for TEXAS so I doubt he's a flip prospect.

Always nice to hear good things about a kid who wants to go to Texas.  Even if Trent Dilfer is the one saying the nice things.

Like him or not, Trent Dilfer is a great coach at these things and very good at evaluation. Check out the Bruce Feldman book "The QB" which goes more in depth. His size doesn't concern me, he can really spin it. Excited to see him live this year

Glad Dilfer didn't call him a chick.
Or this!

No Shawn Robinson for you???  I recruit him until the very end.

Hey I'm fine with 6' 1".  Kid has a strong arm, quick release, wants to play and lead UT to glory.

Good athletic bloodlines... Dad is Steve Buechele, former Texas Ranger 3rd baseman who had a rocket arm.

Shane, come on to the University of Texas. We love you and want you and anticipate your leading

the Longhorn Football Team to great things in college football!

Love Shane. He has amazing talent, is not afraid of competition, and has a great work ethic. Great young man.

Come on down, Shane. Can't wait to see you on the 40. You are going to love it. Oh, one thing, be prepared to have the best 4 (or 5) years of your life. Hope you won't mind that! Once you bleed orange, you always bleed orange. Just ask Kirk and Collin's dad!

Agree completely. He's a baller, he's extremely self-confident yet lacking in arrogance, and he's blessed with six eyes. And such a professional demeanor for a 17 year old. Wonder where he got that? ;)
