The three game gauntlet coming up with KSU, Baylor and Kansas then followed by a four-game gauntlet in February (18-22 26 and March 1) against ISU, KU, BU and OU will determine how we fare in getting a bid, IMO.

NC was a quality win but NC could hurt us there by not playing well the rest of the way, and that's certainly possible if not probable given the current state of that team. Otherwise, ISU is our best win. So IMO, we need to pull down 2 of 3 in the first gauntlet and then split the second, we have a good shot. One of those wins needs to be against KU. We also need to win take the OSU game in Austin on Feb. 11.

We can't afford more than one or two more slip ups or we don't get there, IMO.

We have a decent, but not great chance. If we play like we did against ISU then we have a chance. We have a scrappy team that does not quit. Push comes to shove I don't think I want to bet against them.

This is an incredibly brutal part of their schedule they are in the middle of. Ten of the next twelve games are against ranked opponents With TCU & WV being the exception. Then they finish with TCU & TT. I figure they will win the 4 games against the non ranked teams and that will put them at 18 wins so I figure they have to 3-4 of the next twelve games. Kansas State I think can be had and they should beat OK so if they can find a way to take one from Baylor and then beat ISU on the road I think they can make it to the dance. If not I think it will be tough.

Jeff Howe was reporting that Texas could Turner on campus last. I think he really wants Texas(as the staff has built a great relationship with him), so a tournament team I think would do it.
