Men's Golf is following the same script as the women's team, they have shot the 4th best score the 1st two days and sit in 4th place overall.

They importantly have an 8 stroke advantage over the cut line. I'd watch #10 Florida, they are tied for 6th but are the 2nd highest seed in this regional. Can they make a move and pass the Horns.

One more solid day of golf and the men will advance.

Not much else of interest right now but if you are into this sort of thing #14 Texas A&M is in 8th place and 11 strokes back of 5th place heading into the last day in the Salem regional

Men's Golf advanced to the NCAA finals today, finishing 5th in their regional. They had the 8th best round of all teams today but their positioning to advance never felt to be in trouble. Only 1 team ranked ahead of Texas failed to advance.

Texas A&M made a pretty good comeback to tie for 5th and went on to win the playoff to advance.

The floor for both Men's and Women's team has been set at no worse than 30th place. Would be great if both make it to match play but they will need to play very well to make that happen.

Looks like the women's tennis team lost to UNC 4-2 yet they made it to the Elite 8. However Standford upset aggy to advance to the Final 4. I also saw that the Standford women won the NCAA water polo natty so not sure if that's already factored in your tally (I assume it is).

Stanford water polo was predicted, the tennis upset over Texas A&M was not so that +10 points for Stanford. That means the predicted margin for Texas is now only 23 points.

Men's tennis started their match but it has been delayed due to weather. They won the all important doubles points - despite being lower seeds in the doubles matchups. The 6 singles matches were paused during the 1st set and Texas is tied or in the lead in all of the matches - though many are still quite tight.

Thank you. During the baseball game last night they had some college baseball expert and he stated that Stanford is expected to make the CWS. I think we'll be luck to make it out of a regional, are those points factored in your prediction?

Yep, right now I have Stanford making it to the CWS and winning 1 game, finishing tied 5th. I have Texas as a 2 seed in a regional, and scoring 50 pts after losing in the regional final.

Womens golf with a decent start today. They are tied for 13th, 4 shots behind 8th place which is the cut off for match play round. Stanford is tied for 7th currently.

Men's Tennis with a dominant 4-0 win in Tennis. They only dropped 1 set as a team. They play #5 Virginia in the semis tomorrow. TCU or Ohio State will await in the finals as expected.

The bad news first, Texas men's tennis dropped the semifinal 4-1 against Virginia and it wasn't particularly close. This shaves 17 points off of my predicted score for Texas and the lead over Stanford is now just 6 points. It's gonna be a tight finish. 

The good news, Texas women's golf had a fantastic day going 12 under for the round. This is the best round in Texas NCAA championship history, 5th best round in Texas history in any tournament, and the 2nd best round at an NCAA championship by any team. Only downside is Stanford went -15 (2nd overall) and two other teams also went -12. Either way, Texas jumps all the way up to #4, they are 17 strokes clear of the top 15 cut off required to play round 4 and they are 6th strokes clear of the top 8 cut off to make the match play round. Making the match play round would mean Texas matches my current prediction for their score.

Women's golf tied for the 3rd best score on the day and moved up into tied for 2nd overall after round 3. Only the top 15 teams play tomorrow and after that round the top 8 move to match play. Texas is 12 strokes ahead of the teams currently in 9th place. Being in the top 8 would match my predicted score for them, anything further is gravy. Stanford is in 1st, if they do anything other than win it all they will lose points off the prediction. Texas A&M is currently in 8th, let's hope they make it through and we can send them home in match play.

Golf hits the links this afternoon, start times 1:50-2:30 CT. We will start to have an idea of how much wiggle room they have as most teams will likely be shooting over par throughout the round. You can watch on golf channel between 4-8 pm.

Texas women shoot the best round of the day to take solo 2nd place and advance to match play. They match up against Texas A&M in the first round for what would be our 3rd time to end aggies postseason this year. 

For director's cup purposes the team has secured 73 points which was predicted based on rankings. Anymore points at this point are bonus.

Yep, Texas lost to A&M today. Doesn't help but also doesn't hurt the directors cup score prediction. 

USC very close to beating Stanford which would shave 17 points off their predicted score. That would be a huge development in favor of Texas.

Stanford does indeed fall to USC in the semifinals. Those 17 points are huge and give Texas a little bit of breathing room.
