I am trying to wrap my brain around this and I figure that this is a TRUE statement for the Defense.Aggies Sign Highly Ranked Recruit to Shore up Defense
June 4, 2014
By Brian Davis
University of Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin announced today the Aggies have signed 5'8" 195lb defensive specialist Todd Swick who hails from Navasota to a binding letter of intent. Swick mentioned the ability to see action early and often as his reason for committing to the Aggies over other SEC programs and also mentioned "The SEC offers someone with my skills opportunities that simply don't exist in any other conference." University officials said Swick would be immediately eligible and can expect to see action "sooner rather than later."
A graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and South Texas College of Law in Houston, Swick is the number fifteen ranked felony defense specialist (125th overall) in the latest Martindale-Hubbell Texas attorney rankings. "I would, of course, had loved to have been on Johnny Manziel's team and while that is certainly not out of the question (all things considered), I am excited to have the volume of felony defense cases joining Aggie Athletics brings." Swick's signing comes on the heels of the arrests of two Aggie football players yesterday for aggravated felony assault and before the widely expected felony indictment of Aggie senior defensive lineman Gavin Stansbury.
Swick also had offers from Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Georgia as well as from the Law Firm of George Grantzman, the Law Firm of Myron Lefkowitz and Meyer Shiller O'Donnell, P.C.
Atm will in implode. .. it not about if anymore... it is a matter of when ...Ware was speaking the truth today on ESPN radio, I'll try and find the audio. This is a brief summary of what he said.
1-Recruiting means absolutely nothing if most of your recruiting class is transferring or dismissed from the team.
2-Ware went onto say that A&M is mistaken if they think they will be national title caliber in 2015. Essentially, he said A&M still has no depth because the 2012 and 2013 classes have seen so many transfers and dismissals. Ware even said that A&M was having to rebuild its depth in 2014 with how the two previous classes turned out.
3-Ware was ripping Sumlin. Said Sumlin no longer had the Manziel hype and was no longer a "new coach". Essentially, that it was time for Sumlin to win now or recruiting would take a hit in the next few years.
