I am cancelling my subscription if R Duke has bailed, I specially joined to lurk his and echeese's daily battles. But seriously, I hope he is taking a short hiatus and will return to HS. Whether or not I agree with everything he says, he provides a unique perspective to the site which is thought provoking and stimulates lively discussions. We all need to avoid thinking we are the only ones who are correct and let folks have their own opinions without going on the offensive. Everyone can't be like me or like the other guy, so let's let tolerance reign. R Duke, if you are reading this know that you are a valued member of our community and I hope you jump back on board with our discussions.

I am primarily a lurker here.  I just read the interesting give and take between different posters on various topics. I tend to stay

out of controversial debates and will continue to do so.  I like to reply here and there in proactive fashion, not start any trouble.

But I am aware RD has had some lively debates with other posters on this site.  Though we all post under anonymity, I respect

RD as a poster who posts intelligently and stands his ground, regardless of those who disagree with him.  That being said,

I hope RD stays on this site and continues to stand his ground.  People like him make this site interesting, keeps me coming

back.  Please keep posting, RD!

Spirited debates between posters with different POVs are always appreciated.  I just don't know why it has to denigrate to personal attacks and name-calling.  We all have opinions worth hearing.
