3 star OLB from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas committed to Texas today. Dude has great speed, a big frame and could be a real asset to the defensive unit next season. He was a solid Tennessee commit until Dooley got the axe in Knoxville.

I like that we are pursuing guys based on ability and not based on their stars. USC has more 5 stars than anybody and look where they are.

Couldn't agree more. Also like the JUCO recruiting which Mack has traditionally not taken advantage of. I think it is clear that Donald Hawkins and Brandon Moore have paid off as JUCO recruits this season.

Well we are finally tapping into the same resource that every other program in the country has been utilizing. I think too much emphasis is put on this star rating system. Its not a pure system and so many times it the 3 star and below guys that produce the most. Likewise from college ball to the NFL generally the more average rated guys are outperforming the bigger stars from college. The average rated guys are more humble and have more to fight for. The 5's are, more often than not, egotistical team destroyers.

Lot of truth to that tweet.

What a horrible PR move. UT put out a statement and now Campbell is denying he ever committed. Just f##king great because now we look like the gang that can't shoot straight.

that is not funny at all and somehow you made it funny...

I am hearing he has committed and will sign next week.

I think his junior college jumped the gun, not Texas. They tweeted that he committed.

It is just a matter of time until he comes full-swing burnt orange.
