Demetrious Knox and Daniel Gresham crossed Mack

The Dallas Morning News nailed this:
Demetrius Knox is committed to the Texas Longhorns, but the Fort Worth All Saints guard grew up in Ohio as a OSU Buckeyes fan. So when Knox posted a photo of himself and teammate Daniel Gresham in Ohio State jerseys on Instagram, it seemed like cause for concern for Horns fans, right?

Maybe not. According to SB Nation's Wescott Eberts, the duo did in fact visit Ohio State last weekend, but Knox said he was taking the visit to see his father in Ohio and told Buckeye coaches that he was "not going there."
I saw the interview with him and Gresham. To me, at least Knox, seems solid. Gresham, IMO, seemed less solid. Ill take them at their word for now. My sentiment is more for Mack's approach than those two specifically, I support it.

Only time will tell, as it always does...

These two guys are joined at the hip. Where one goes the other is going to be there. If Knox stays committed so will Gresham.

Kids are kids, however, Mack has been stressing "go home and talk to your coaches and parents and then make your decision." There is nothing wrong with holding kids to their word. Thats one of the biggest problems in society as a whole these days, there is no accountability. You can give your word and take it back, say youll do something and then never do it. Where does end? This recruiting process has turned into more of a HS to College Free Agency type of situation where kids want to be wined and dined and taken on trips then obviously choose one of the several schools they have been playing with. If more coaches had the balls to take that power out of 17-18 year old kids that type of situation would end. The circus that has become recruiting would end. I think the NCAA should nix early commitments. The only thing it does is interfere with a kids schooling and turn him into a media hungry douche. Take whatever visits you want wherever you want and then on this date you commit and thats it. Kids have seen this process annually, they know what they are doing and what they can get out of these universities with just the verbal commitment.

If you wanna be a kid play with kids, if you wanna play with adults then you should have to deal with adult guidelines.
Agree 100%, but the NCAA has nothing to do with "early commitments". It's a media-driven phenomenon. To the contrary, I believe the NCAA can help CFB by adopting an early signing period. Maybe the August before players' high school senior year?

Texas might have a "Freshman Day" next year folks. The Sophmore Day was innovative for UT but frankly, I hate it. My paradigm has always been "Take care of business and the recruits will come." Translation: Beat OU, win a lot of games, ride the fact that Texas football has a history and tradition and you are golden. Losing games is the biggest deterrent to a football team. Lack of direction is a close second.

We're Texas, dammit.

Tough recruiting times for Texas and a lot of the larger schools. When once they had an advantage this new Hip Hop crowd think they are all going to first round picks. Most of them go SEC because their boys tell them everyone from the SEC goes pro. Just get in and it's a done deal.

Hip hop crowd? You got something against it? Boyeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Doesn't look like a kid ready to fly off to Ohio? Daniel Gresham btw..

He's not going anywhere but to A-town. Knox too. Gresham is going to be in demand at UT at his position. Kyle Hicks can kiss my ass!

I see today headlines: "Texas OT commit Demetrius Knox reiterates his pledge to the Texas"
