Gresham, All Saints Episcopal (Fort Worth) fullback and Texas commit talked with the Alabama Rivals site about his recent scholarship offer from the Tide. The quotes are on an article by Andrew Kuhla from Bleacher Report, but nonetheless were extracted from the TideSports.com piece.

Gresham on the offer:

Honestly, it's a dream come true," he said. "Alabama has always been my childhood favorite. My coach always joked with me that when Alabama offered I was going to start crying. I actually did tear up a little bit.
"I have been telling my mom for a long time that I am going to work hard to get that Alabama offer. She almost started crying when I told her. It's really a blessing that a school of that stature offered me especially with the major backs who have been there and who they have now. They are known for running backs, and that's what they want me to play.
And Gresham on Mack's no visititing other schools after committing to Texas:

"I haven't had a chance to visit Alabama yet," Gresham said. "The hard thing is Coach Brown doesn't allow you to take visits once you are committed. I can't lie though. It's in the back of my mind. I can tolerate it.
"I can understand where he is coming from. They got screwed over last year. I think everyone who visited elsewhere decommitted. I know my mom really wants me to go on all the visits I can. I am only a junior. My mom knows I love Texas, but she wants me to visit anywhere I can. I am having to tell her I am not allowed."
This will be interesting to follow.... If Gresham takes a Bama visit, like he seems to really want to, does make pull the offer?

"A dream come true?" Chalk up another one gone. But Mack's plan is working. If he visits, Texas will know.

I could really careless. I am getting tired of getting all worked up over what a 16-17 year old kid does..

I agree..but..would go further. If he schedules a visit, I pull the offer. I might let some player put some pressure on me but it damned sure won't be a fullback or his mother!

Hard decision for Mack to make if these commits do take visits.... I don't see him having any other option but to back up his words. This could be brutal for us.

This one should be interesting for sure. We'll see if he and Knox actually live up to there word.

We won't have to wait long to see if he's gonna stick to his guns or what effect it will have. I like what Mack had done by setting this precedent. Either players will man up and stick with their word or won't commit. Either way I think it'll go quite a ways in mitigating the control these little shits have over the program.
