Dallas Regional Under Armour Camp

Justin Rogers tells me Texas has some ground to make up.

Also said Tom Herman messed up watching his tape because he was moving into Austin. That's apparently why he didn't get the offer at Jr Days.
What does the messed up watching the tape comment mean? Herman didn't watch it, he didn't watch it correctly, or the player didn't like the opinion of him from Herman watching the tape?

I'm not quite sure, but I read didn't watch it thoroughly enough because his focus was somewhere else for the time.

If there are 2 guys Texas needs to snag this cycle it's Alston Orji & Byron Hobbs. Two of the best LB in Texas. Also Dashaun White is quietly a very nice LB in the state that Texas really approached hard to yet.

Austin Stogner is the best 2019 TE in the country right now. Dude has hands, is big, and can block. He's got a short list right now and Texas is in it for sure. He plans to make a visit to Texas some time this spring for a practice.

2019 WR Kameron Brown wasn't too impressive at the Opening, but he really showed out today. He made a lot of DBs look silly including guys like Caden Sterns

Also I'd have to say another guy who had himself a day was Prestonwood Christian 2018 DB Jeremiah Lewis. He had the best day of the DBs overall.

Isaiah Humphries is still one of my favorite safeties in the state. I don't think he's overrated, in fact quiet the opposite. He's a little small but he's long, fast, and smart. Texas is starting to make another run at him.

Gemon Green had a good day yall. He had a couple nice PBUs and is faster than I thought.

Same goes for his brother German. He also had a nice day with a couple PBUs.

From what I saw today and solely today

Justin Rogers > Casey Thompson

However, reiterating that is only today and Texas has a lot of ground to make up with Justin.

Going back to LBs because that's the big one for me this cycle...

Byron Hobbs could do a little better in coverage. Alston Orji had a field day in coverage. Dashaun White is one of the best coverage LBs in the state.

Another guy flying under the radar is Dax Hill out of Booker T Washington HS (OK). He's a 2019 DB and one of the fastest dudes I've seen.

He's getting a lot more Texas interest recently.

He's no secret to the in-state schools though. OU and OSU have already offered him.

This state is kind of strapped for DL talent. So Jayden Jernigan is a nice surprise. Allen DT who did well today when I watched.

Get Coburn then start evaluating guys like Jayden a little more. I like his stuff.

Another guy who will blow up and when he does Texas will be in a good position for him is East Texas WR Jonathon Shepard. Shepard has an outstanding day today. One of the better WR out there.

Texas has been hot on his trail for a while now, but haven't pulled the trigger. Wait til late summer.

Save this post.

Texas went a very long way with Hobbs this weekend. Texas is squarely the leader in this race at the current time.

It's out there now, but IMG's 2019 RB Noah Cain will visit Texas Tuesday.

He and Tim Beck chat quite a bit.

He's a take x2.

Let Stan Drayton go to work on this kid.

Good stuff Will, would you say Hobbs is a 4-2/4-3 LB type or is he 3-4 OLB?

Because there seems to be nowhere else to put this, I'll drop it here.

According to David Smoak this evening, former DeSoto HC and current SMU assistant Claude Mathis is expected to be named the next HC/AD at Marshall HS in Marshall.
