Just announced on Twitter he is de-committing from Texas A&M. He visited Texas over the weekend, but wasn't offered. This will be one to watch if Texas misses on Kenneth Murray.

This may be one of them Charlie offers right at the end if the other options fall through ala PJ Locke.

I am not convinced the coaches are pushing all that hard for either Murray or Johnson at this time.

And once again I am reminded of my favorite aggy posting of all time. "Does anybody have any of their special predictions that we could now compare to the new reality?"

The nutless bovine silence on this thread is deafining.

After innumerable teasip morons assured us going to the SEC would not help recruiting, it appears we have stumbled our way into being one of five super elite programs who can pick and choose recruits.

Where are the naysayers? Does anybody have any of their special predictions that we could now compare to the new reality? http://texags.com/forums/6/topics/24...plies/39058799
The reality for aggy is that for the Class of 2017, they have 17 offers out for LBs, they have but one commit, and he is a kid who can't break 5.0 in the 40.

UPDATE:

And the kid just became one of those recruits you just have to hope great things come his way. He gives Sumlin a well deserved shot on the way out:

Devodrick Johnson made one of the toughest decisions in recruiting.

The four-star athlete out of Dallas Kimball picked up the phone on Monday, called the Texas A&M staff and backed out of his verbal pledge less than a month after pulling the trigger.

“I’m decommitting because of the situation that happened with the women’s clinic,†Johnson said.
I hope every mom throws that clinic bullshit in the fact of the aggy coach that shows up to recruit her son.

We will know soon whether they will push for Johnson or not. They may not have the pedal to the floor for Murray, but they are recruiting him. That third spot after Browning and Hines is an interesting one because it can go in a lot of different directions.

FWIW if anybody hasn't been watching the CB picks coming in fast and furious, it seems to me a good indication IMHO that one is watching as to whom wants to go to where at this point
