Cy Falls LB Otaro Alaka

I think we got a bit too used to Mack's recent no visit policy. It's not that realistic anymore in my opinion and kids either decide to commit or take more visits or both. Coaches deal with it however desired. Ketchum made a good point earlier that Mack's little barnstorming tour of visits between the BU game and his resignation royally screwed Strong's ability to do several in home visits. Mack just used up our one allowed visit and a new coach doesn't get a do over. Thanks Mack.

So, what do you think, Darrell? Is he ours or not?
I think Texas has a slight lead and that is saying something since Brown left Strong at a disadvantage concerning the off campus visit.

Before Manziel their best player ever was P Shane Lechler.

I'm kidding.... Sort of.

A&M fans getting worried on Texags about Alaka. They all thought he was an A&M lock, today there have been quite a few posts that are saying he might be sticking with Texas. Really doesn't mean anything, but still interesting. Narrative is changing. A&M has also started looking around at other linebackers....tells you they aren't sure about getting Young or Alaka.

Good news

If Kenny Young doesn't go to UCLA I would be really surprised. It would be between LSU and A&M if he doesn't go to UCLA, with him leaning towards LSU.

surely you jest. how far back does "history" go for you?
Aggie is looking at a top 5 recruiting class this year. Has it ever happened before? Probably - if you go back to the 30s or count the classes they bought.

But this year's A&M recruiting class isn't consistent with their history no matter how you define the period.

I'm not trying to defend the Aggies, but they have finished 5th and 18th the past 2 years, and they've gotten a lot of national exposure because of Manziel. Right now, they are arguably the top program in Texas.

And right now Auburn is the top program in Alabama. Michigan St in Michigan. For a while Purdue in Indiana, not Notre Dame. It happens from time to time.
