Crossfire with McPhaul - Holiday Edition - 12/29/2013

Prop Joe is a bit of a rarity. Although a proud Ag, he is not your typical myopic whooper that is more their norm. He has been on Hornfans for years, where I lived under a different handle, and have rarely seen anything from him that isn't accurate or well intended despite plenty of goading. He will add value to the threads and community here imo.
Then Joe will be embraced. My only hope is that he has some thick skin.

I don't know how good Swoopes is. If he is good, I'd give him the same advice I had given previous QBs disillusioned with Mack Brown... transfer to another good football program. Mack Brown hasn't the slightest clue about selecting and coaching quarterbacks, nor does he have the right assistants for that job. Mack Brown's line up of QBs has been a mess.
I've never understood why we get good QB talent to commit. Can't figure out why the kids and their parents can't see what's so obvious to the rest of us . . . that Mack is clueless when it comes to handling QBs.

McPhaul, I enjoyed the article as usial. One question: If FOB one person or are you taking all of the info you hear and rolling it up into a fictional character (FOB)?

Uh, you serious?

We had a QB that broke NCAA wins record in Colt and arguably the best single talent at QB in CFB history with Vince under Mack. Last 4 years have been crap, granted, but it's not like Texas(the state) is hurting for QB talent and it's not like its terribly difficult to recruit as Texas in the state of Texas now.

I am not a Mack defender at all, however, I see no problem with Joe representing Mack Brown as his client. Where Joe lays his loyalty and cash is his decision.
I am not sure that you guys have this part correct. It may be at UT's option to conflict his entire firm out of any contemplated litigation against the school. That's how I would respond to the demand letter at least.

Another good Crossfire Mcp.

I'm curious if you've heard anything more regarding Power's status with the bmd's he pissed off.

That's the good thing about being married. I never have to be attractive ever again.
Don't mean to depress you, but the divorce rates are: over 50% for first marriages, over 60% for second marriages, and over 70% for third marriages.

BTW, Desmond Harrison did not make the trip. A relative of his was murdered so, Desmond is going to be with family.
Update here, Harrison is expected to join the team in SA after services, I've heard.

That would be a change from Mack Browns press conference this morning. He said Desmond will not be in San Antonio.

Sad story for Harrison.

Harrison was already playing badly before this tragedy. Leave the young man off the field for this game.

If they believed that, then the best thing to do for THE KID'S FUTURE (after all, it's all about the kids, supposedly) would be to KEEP HIM RS.
Get a JUCO/transfer and redshirt him in 2014 or 2015. You don't have to redshirt as a freshman only. I don't have a problem with losing the redshirt as much as the limited playing time...could have played the entire 4th quarter in a couple of games if I recall. Or 1 in every 3 - 4 series as some have suggested.

That is a change. I heard when Harrison left that he would rejoin the team. Thanks for the heads up.
