I hope things heat up again soon as already having withdrawals from all the action last week lol

I agree. I'm spinning it as the BMD's learned their lessons are are going hush hush now.

jesus i dont know if i cant take last week ever again...this coaching search may take weeks ..it needs to be days but i dont see it..if i was a betting man which im not i think it end up strong or franklin...not the sexiest picks but that just what i see..

Need it to be a home run hire! That will be tough after hearing Saban for the past few weeks...

I think this is dead on. If Patterson is truly in charge, the leaks they want plugged will be plugged. I've said it before, BMDs get what they want. They brought in Patterson to change the culture. That is happening. Will it involve Saban? I don't know, but if it does there will be a tight lid on it.

silence is good for the process. just not for us addicted folks lol

I'm sure Patterson wants to plug the leaks.

But I am not sure it's possible in an operation like this in the digital era.

One thing I know from working in DC for along time is that the leakers are often the attorneys. They are horrible with leaks.

After the range of emotions from last week (Its Saban!!!... Its Not Saban!!!... Mack is back!!!... Mack is retiring!!!) I think I could use some peace and quiet for half of this week lol.

If Powers was, in fact, only going to involve himself as it pertained to Mack's future and the hiring of a new coach will be Patterson's alone, even to the point a small selection committee may not even be formed, then I agree that silence is golden. It may show that Patterson is the strong leader we were/are hoping he was/is and his hands were tied and he seemed weak with the release of Mack because his boss was calling those shots. Now that he is in charge keeping a lid on leaks and professionally running a coach search can only help us incite the interest and confidence of big name coaching prospects.

Watch for activity from Patterson regarding any current staff interviews. He may try to do them covertly but think he already has a coach targeted and will do some recon for him with some current staff. There are only 14 days to the bowl game. It will seem like years but this thing should move fairly fast.
